So, lets talk sweaters!

When I'm not in my studio making glass beads, I love to knit! For me the bug usually bites about now, late Summer into Fall. There's just something about working with cloth and/or fibers in the Fall and Winter seasons. I taught myself to knit when I was pregnant for my Daughter, 26 years ago. This sweater-knitting-craze for the dollies started a few years ago. I made them as Christmas gifts for my Mom, sisters and nieces. They all collect American Girl Dolls and now I have my own small collection of them as well. Knowing how to knit for so long made it easy for me to design and then create my own patterns for the sweaters I wanted to make. I simply couldn't find them anywhere else made the way I wanted them. My doll sweaters are seamless, worked in one piece, for a wonderful low profile, realistic look and fit! There are no bulky sleeve seams. How cool is that?!!!  I make three different Raglan style sweaters, Cardigan, Pullover and Varsity. I don't currently take orders. I could never keep up with them because knitting takes a little more time than some other needle crafts. I also don't want to make a job of something I really enjoy. Thank goodness for eBay! As I make and finish sweaters, that is where you will find them, and I have plans for lots more to come and in a variety of colors. I'm also toying with the idea of a stocking cap and mittens to match. How cute would that be? I'm talking about a stocking cap like I used to wear ice skating when I was a kid. It was long and tapered to a point with a tassle on the end. I used to wrap it around my neck like a scarf to keep warm on the ice. Too fun!!

So, check back often to see what I'm up to and check me out on eBay for more sweaters for your American Girl Dolls! My eBay id is:
